I’m Laura Munari, a freelance photographer born in 1995 in Reggio Emilia, Italy, based between Florence, Reggio Emilia and Milan.
I began photographing in 2018, working with both digital and analog formats and collaborating with small brands. I usually follow instinct as a guiding principle in my work, searching for emotion and empathy behind each image in order to convey a clear and immediate atmosphere.
My practice moves between commissioned projects and personal work, which plays a fundamental role in defining my visual identity. While my roots are strongly cinematic, my style is evolving towards a more narrative and dreamlike approach, without abandoning its film-inspired essence.
I have a strong love for analog photography, which I believe adds depth and sensitivity to the final image. I’m also exploring AI imagery, mostly as a research and visualization tool within my creative process.
My work has been featured in i-D Magazine, Dare Clan Magazine, and selected for the LensCulture Awards Photo Gallery in 2021 for my project Mental Health.
